Let's Talk About Talking is the 24th episode of season 1 of Reed Between the Lines. It aired on December 20, 2011 during the season finale event.
Alex's parents come to visit the Reeds. Later, they give the children decidedly old-fashioned "I ♥ MY GRANDPARENTS" t-shirts, which the kids (minus Alexis) try to get out of wearing.
Alex comes to find out that his father Monroe (portrayed by Robert Hooks) has been driving his mother Liz (portrayed by Hattie Winston) crazy. Carla also notices this, and convinces Liz to speak-up for herself. Meanwhile, the kids (minus Alexis) try to get rid of their old-fashioned "I ♥ MY GRANDPARENTS" t-shirts that their grandpa gave them.
- This was originally going to air as the season finale, but for undisclosed reasons, Let's Talk About Dating Advice aired in that slot.
- This episode marks the first time Alex's parents are seen on-screen.
- This is the first episode in which the main plot that isn't centered on a main character.
